Title: Privacy and Security in Intelligent Environments

Overview:
My research seeks to identify the privacy and security concerns of users within Intelligent Environments, and to develop an architecture that will safeguard the security and privacy of user information. User privacy is affected by the information flows within an intelligent environment, and these users must have complete confidence in an environments ability and willingness to keep their information private. This research examines the influences of the Users' Context, Anonymity and Pseudo-anonymity, Trust and Reputation on users' privacy, and examines Identity Management and the use of user models to represent and manage a user's information within this type of environment.

Biography:

Griffith University B. Sci (Chemistry) / B. InfTech (Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence) B InfTech (First Class Honours) - Organisational Influences on the Successful Implementation of an ERP System After honours I wandered around Europe for a couple of years, and have worked as an instructional designer (in Ireland) and as a technical writer for a company that makes GPS guidance systems for tractors. Other personal interests include Rock Climbing, Music, Science Fiction, the Natural Sciences, Politics, History and (most of all) travelling throughout the world.
